At the invitation of the Walnut Grove Family Festival 2017, which was especially well-attended on this 150th anniversary of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s birth, Robynne gave a presentation on Laura’s character, Nellie Oleson.
At the invitation of Walnut Grove’s Family Festival, today Robynne was signing (and selling) copies of her books for the attendees of the festival.
Today Robynne read from one of her non-fiction works to the MFA class attending the summer residency at Ashland University held in Ashland, OH.
Robynne was a finalist in Old World Wisconsin’s “Little House, Big Story” competition, which was held in Eagle, WI to celebrate the 150th birthday of Wisconsin native Laura Ingalls Wilder.
The competition asked people to submit their own story of how Laura Ingalls Wilder inspired them to learn more about Wisconsin, history, or their own family stories. The winners were announced as part of their World of Little House event.
Today Robynne was honored to give a presentation at Laurapalooza on “The Three Faces of Nellie” – following on from the publication of her book of the same name. The presentation gave background information on the three women that comprised Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “Nellie Oleson” character.
