2017 Christian Writer’s Retreat
October 6-8, 2017
Fjeldheim, Lake Tahoe
In response to Northern California’s Christian writers, who long for opportunities to gather, encourage each other, and re-energize their writing careers, we’ve put together a fall writing retreat in stunning Lake Tahoe.
With two morning workshops, led by author/speaker/writing coach Robynne Miller and author/speaker Jane Daly, and plenty of time for personal writing and enjoying the company of fellow writers, this retreat is the perfect blend of learning craft, working on your own projects, and enjoying wonderful fellowship.
The setting is luxurious but there are a number of sleeping options available to meet different budgets and needs. As space is extremely limited, with room for less than twenty registrants in total, this retreat is for writers only, who are 18 years or older. Please keep that in mind when registering.
Unlike other retreats, this is an all-inclusive weekend. All registrants will receive their accommodation, six family-style meals around a large table (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch), as well as snacks, beverages, two workshops, and full use of the venue’s facilities (wifi, library, terraces, and hot tub with a stunning view of the lake, etc.!).
There is also an add-on option to stay an extra night, as well as two add-on one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Come for a relaxing, rejuvenating time of learning, building relationships, and writing. All in a 9,000 square foot luxury venue overlooking Lake Tahoe!

|If we’re called to write, we’re called to carry some sort of message to the world. Most of us are pretty sure what that message is. Perhaps it’s about the sovereignty of God. Or maybe it’s about man’s inhumanity to man. But what if our focus is meant to be more specific than that? Or more powerful? And what if our message is supposed to be something else entirely?
In this workshop, Robynne Miller takes you through a series of writing exercises which will uncover and refine what you’re really, really supposed to be writing about. By knowing what your true message is, your writing will improve in clarity, productiveness, and, most importantly, impact.

|Whether you intend to be a speaker, or merely need to be able to effectively articulate your message to agents, editors, and your audience, knowing how to find and leverage your own voice is critical. But how do you distinguish yourself in a global sea of writers?
Author/Speaker Jane Daly will show you how. This workshop will guide you through the process of defining your own unique voice, preparing to present your message to both large audiences and small, and equipping you to move forward in your writing (and, perhaps, speaking) journeys with purpose and confidence.
